Cath Brown

Doctor of Chinese Medicine, Registered Acupuncturist,  BAppSc (Chinese Medicine),

Catherine is a registered Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, completing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004, in Sydney & China. Catherine completed an internship at Jiangsu Province Chinese Medicine Hospital in Nanjing People’s Republic of China.

Her passion and focus are women’s health & fertility, an area she specialises in, addressing female & male fertility, menstrual & hormonal health, IVF support, pregnancy & postnatal care.

Catherine has also developed a general practice that offers treatment for both acute and chronic imbalances; including musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, digestion, insomnia, anxiety & depression.

All treatments are tailored to your individual health condition with a safe & effective holistic approach; combining Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, diet & lifestyle.

Catherine’s approach is patient focused, gentle, empathetic & supportive.

Treating the body, in its entirety, Catherine’s understanding and treatments view disharmonies as one part of the whole and addresses the “root” cause of the imbalance as well as the “branch” manifestations or symptoms.

This is achieved by ensuring Qi or “life energy” is in abundant supply and flows through the body’s meridians, a network of invisible channels throughout the body.

Catherine’s treatments focus equally on the prevention of illness as on the treatment of the disharmony; incorporating the Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, Gua Sha and Moxibustion.
