Jan has over 10 years’ experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA), the Australian Branch of the Toyohari Association (ABTA) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also qualified in Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture.

Jan’s professional training includes advanced, full time study in China and Japan (she returns to Japan to work with Japanese Acupuncture masters (sensei) every two years, and works with them when they visit Australian every other year).

Her specialist field of interest is in women’s health, and infertility for both men and women. Jan has extensive experience in this field of health, and uses both modern and traditional approaches for a range of conditions. These include reproductive problems with IVF, unexplained infertility, natural fertility, recurrent miscarriage, period pain, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and imbalance during menopause.

She also treats issues that arise during pregnancy and post-natal care. Successful treatment of anxiety and stress are also an important part of her treatment. They are often the underlying cause of hormonal imbalance causing infertility and creating menstrual issues, difficult menopause and thyroid issues. Jan uses Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Moxibustion to help address the cause of hormonal imbalance, and to assist in attaining general well-being for all of her patients, including improving fertility for couples.

Jan’s approach is focused on helping you understand the dynamics of your complaint, and to address the causes of your condition. She takes a holistic approach to health care, treating your body as a whole to create balance within the body, and therefore, achieving relief from your presenting condition. At all times, Jan works to provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment for her clients.
Treatments include acupuncture, herbal medicine and natural fertility awareness, which include basal temperature charting (BBT), with notation of cervical mucus, to learn the ebb and flow of your own cycle. This combination of therapies works with the body’s natural vital energy (qi), which is inherent in all living things, promoting the body’s natural ability to heal itself, bringing one’s organ and meridian systems back into balance to create a healthy and fertile body!
